DOG PERSON CLUB: Tori & Lucy
Another furry story! We got in touch with Tori from the dog blog "Wear, Wag, Repeat" and asked her to get involved with our DOG PERSON CLUB blog series!
Give us a description of your relationship with Lucy!
Lucy and I spend so much time together since I work from home, so I think we have a very strong bond. I definitely think that Lucy has feelings and as she gets older I think she is starting to understand when she needs to chill and be quiet (so I can get some work done), versus when she can be crazy and have some fun. She's definitely my main squeeze and I'd rather hang out with her than anyone else most of the time!
Tell us how you came to find each other
I started looking for a second dog when my old girl, Lola, was about 7. I really wanted another chocolate lab who would be young enough to give me some overlap. I was already so afraid of losing Lola, I knew I'd need another dog to help me get through it. I'm glad I started looking early because I ended up bringing Lucy home when Lola was 9 years old. She was able to teach Lucy a lot while they were together, and I'm happy to say that Lucy is slowing growing into the big shoes she had to fill!
What is it like running a dog blog together?
It's really fun to be able to not just work from home with my dog, but to be able to work on projects together! I'm very lucky to be able to do photoshoots with Lucy to review new treats, toys and food. She's such a good girl, and if I have enough patience I can get really good photos of her. The joy and excitement that she brings to every activity inspires me!
And finally give us an interesting fact about you both!
When I was a mermaid for Halloween last year I found out that Lucy is terrified of seashells! If you hold one up to her she barks and runs into the other room!
